God is Good!

I have been getting a workout by God lately! I have done things in my life that I am not proud of and God has been helping me work through all of it. Yesterday at church our pastor preached directly to me. He did a sermon on Luke 15 the prodigal son. The main point being that the younger son decided he was not happy in his life and he would change it. I am not happy in all aspects of my life and I AM going to change it. I don't know how or any of the details yet but I need to do something. I guess the first thing I need to do is give it all over to God and let him lead me. I seem to make a mess of things when I try to do it myself. Which is all to often! My first action has been trying to get my house all spic and span which if you know me is a challenge lol. I seem to always have clutter and. well as Anna would put it, mess in my house. So we have rearranaged Anna's room and cleaned it all up. Now we are working on the living room. We aren't done yet but we have made progress. After I get my house in line I am hoping that my mind can settle and I can figure out my next move.
My husband and I are in the mist of making many decisions that will effect us for the next few years. It is terrifing and exciting all at the same time. We would appreciate any prayers to help us through this!
My prayer for the day:
Father ~ Please forive me for all of my sins! I love you and I thank you for everything you have done for me. I am so very sorry that I am not all that you want me to be, all that you know I can be. I pray that you can show me the way to being that person. I need your guidance and your strength in all aspects of my life. Thank you for all of the many blessings in my life. My family, my friends, my church. Thank you for helping me through all of this icky stuff I am going through. Most of all thank you for your patience and your guidance. Help me to open my eyes to you so that I may see the path, open my ears to hear your wisdom and set my hands into action so that I may do your will. I pray that you will be with those that are sick of heart or body - may you wrap your arms around them and give them comfort. Please continue to work in my heart Lord and help me to make you proud.
In Your name: Amen

I just stopped by (first time visitor to become a regular one if that's ok?) to say congrats on clearing away the house. I'm not the best at keeping the house clean by any means, but I have noticed that when my house is clean, my mind is clean and free of clutter! I hope it helps in all your endeavors!
