What is in your TRUNK!

Yesterday I cleaned my car out! By cleaning out I mean EVERYTHING came out!!! I haven't done this since before Anna. I mean I have occasionally done a quick clean up if someone were going to ride with me whatever but that usually meant whatever was in the front of the car landed in the trunk! I decided that it was time for a complete clean yesterday so we spent the morning cleaning the inside. Taking out trash, cups and toys etc. Then cleaning the dash and stuff. We worked for a good hour and a half on it. Took a lunch and nap break and then hit the trunk and washed the outside. The trunk was full of stuff. I thought I would share with you a few things that I found in there and see what you think that says about me lol.

  1. water wings from last summer!
  2. a single shoe thats mate went flying out the window (last summer) it was Anna's favorite shoe!
  3. About 4 pairs of MY shoes and 2 pairs of Anna's and 2 pairs of Chris's!
  4. 5 purses
  5. 3 of Anna's coats and 1 of mine
  6. Anna's 2 Bibles
  7. Some of Anna's papers from Sunday School
  8. cups and a few other dishes
  9. A few of Anna's babies
  10. Christmas cookie cutters lol

So isn't that just terrible! Of course I left out that Anna's bike was in there and Chris's things from where he cleaned out his old office. Going to the grocery store and not having a place to put the groceries is what prompted this cleaning. It looks so good now that Chris accused me of taking it somewhere to have it detailed! Yes I am THAT good! (When I want to be!!!)

Adventures of Super Mom!!!

What a day yesterday was! It was crazy to say the least. It started out by me taking Chris to work. Then we (Anna and I) went to get our oil changed. I took it to one of the fastest places because we had a play date set up for 10. I waited patiently while Anna wondered around trying to touch everything making me cringe. They finished my car and I went out to leave. I cranked the car up and it died. I cranked it again and it died. Hmmm, this was not an issue before we came in. I went back and said probably not so nicely that I needed them to see why my car was not cranking. They came out and apparently they hadn't connected something correctly.

With that problem solved we went to grab a bite to eat. It was now 9:00 and we hadn't had breakfast yet. To avoid her wanting to play on the equipment at most places we ran into Krystal. We get a biscuit and sit down to eat. Anna is watching this guy mop the floor. He seemed like a very nice man and he was wearing a hat. The hat pushed his braids down over his ears and well it looked different. Anna looked at him and looked at him. Then she turned to me and said (in a stage whisper) "Mommy, ears! His ears funny!" I wanted to crawl under the table but instead I said "Anna" and looked up to see if maybe he hadn't heard her. He just grinned at me, watch out, table here I come.

After that we had a play date at the park down from our house. Brooks came and we met another nice woman that had a 3 year old and a 18 month old and was 5.5 months pregnant. Her son decided to go under the fence and almost went into the road. It was very exciting I tell you.

That afternoon it only got better!!! Anna didn't take a nap and I had a ton of stuff to do so I couldn't rock her to "make" her go to sleep. She wasn't cranky or anything so that was good. I ran out to go get the mail and left Anna inside cause it was rainy. I come back and she had locked our glass storm door! I don't have a key to the storm door! Our gate is sealed shut so I couldn't just walk around to the back yard. I wanted to cry but I couldn't cause I had to keep Anna calm. I walked to my neighbors house because he has a ladder in his backyard and I could climb the fence. The neighbors gate was locked. I went down one more house. I have never met these people even though they have lived there a few years. The guy that answers the door was very nice. I explain my problem to him while standing in the middle of his yard so that I can see if Anna comes out of the house and heads for the rode. The gentleman at the door explains he is just a visitor so he doesn't know if there is a ladder but he will certainly go look. He does!!! So we tromp down to our house and luckily it had stopped drizzling mostly. I am trying to think of any other way besides climbing the gate to get in but nothing works. It is a privacy fence you know one of those tall ones. You guys have seen my pictures you know I am short and well rounded. I didn't know how this was going to work out. The wonderful visiting gentleman offered to do it for me until I informed him there was a big dog in there. Even though he is old and probably sleeping he didn't think that mattered lol. So here I go up the ladder. I get to the top and I start praying! I put my leg over the top and I can't find the board I need to put my foot on. After several moments I managed to work my hips just so that I could get a toe hold on it. I shifted my weight onto that foot and the board started popping YIKES! In that one instant I thought I didn't tell this guy Chris's phone number, I am going to break something and he isn't going to know what to do! I started moving quickly after the popping started. I threw my other leg over and almost at the same time pushed on the fence and jump and/or flung myself backwards away from it. I landed on my feet. Ha yes I must have been a cat in a previous life lol. The only injury I incurred was a nice boo boo on my middle finger. I pretty much just pulled the skin off of it. It still hurts but hey I survived with all my limbs still intact! I walk in the back door and Anna was standing in the front door looking for me and Buddy was sitting in the front window looking for me. I didn't know if I should hug her or beat her! I went for hugging and strong chastising! Next time she will go to the mailbox with me!

Ah the joys of motherhood!!!

Monday Meihem

We have had a funfilled crazy day today. We went to a friend of mine's house to play cards. Well, I played cards and Anna ran around like a nut with all of the other kids. It was a play date for me and I have to say it was so wonderful and very much needed. We played a game I had never heard of called Tripoley. It was a lot of fun. I am paying for that fun right now though. Anna is being a pill! She didn't have her nap today and let me just say CRANKY!!! I will have to write more later. Wish me luck please!

Neighborhood Drama!

So my crazy ex-neighbor has finally gone over the deep end! I have been trying to ignore her phone calls for 3 weeks because I just don't want to be involved in her drama any longer. So yesterday she pops up at my house and I just try to rush her out without upsetting her because well honestly she does have mental issues and I don't want to upset her. Anywho, while she was here she went on about how angry she was with her ex that happens to still live next door. About 20-30 minutes after she left my neighbor came over asking if she had been over at his house. I informed him that she had been here but I didn't know about over there. Apparently after leaving here she went over and keyed his new car. He said he was going to have to file ANOTHER police report and being confused I said what do you mean another one! He told me how over Christmas "someone" ran into his garage and damaged it pretty badly. He even went to get pictures to share with me. WOW that is pretty terrible I have to say. I mean I knew my "friend" was not doing well but WOW!!! I seriously cannot have Anna around someone that is doing this. But back to the story, a little while later Anna and I were in the yard playing and a cop pulls up next door and he shows her the car and explains everything to her and she comes over here to question me. I told her that yes she was here and yes she said she was very angry at the neighbor and no we aren't really good friends and I am trying to figure out how to get out of it totally. She told me if he gets a restraining order she won't be able to come here either. In light of what we have discovered we decided that we would try to cut ties without upsetting her to much. When she called this morning Anna & I were still in bed and my hubby decided he would call her back and explain that we like both her and our neighbor and we feel like we are being drawn into the middle of something ugly. That once they work through there crap we would love to hang out with them both. But for now we don't feel like she should come over here and I am not going to hang out with her either. He said it as nicely as you can say something like this! She called back shortly there after and said that he didn't have to worry that she would never contact us again and it was real Christian of us to do this to her and I was a real coward cause I didn't do it myself. What a run on sentence lol. Anywho, I probably should have done it myself but I always botch things like that up and make matters worse so it was for the best this way. As for it not being very Christian - I do worry about that! I mean yes I feel like I have done everything I can to help her on one hand but on the other is it Christian to give up on someone? If Anna weren't in the picture it would probably be different I just can't have Anna around someone that is not stable.

Tell me what you think! Did we do the right thing? Was it not very Christian of us? What would you do?

real or make believe?

So I have not been keeping you all in the loop. My neighbors house is like a real live soap opera. Would you like to hear about it. Yes well of course you do because we all love a real soap story. So sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy the craziness of another persons life.
Characters:
Neighbor - Christine
Neighbors boyfriend - father of her child - Kramer
Son - 8 months old - George
One day I get a phone call from my neighbor and we are chatting just usual stuff about the babies etc. She said you want to come over and I said sure I have to tell you about what happened with my Mother and she said ok and I need to tell you what happened with Kramer. So I went over later and she said well Kramer and I had another fight (this is a common theme in their relationship). He left (on a Sunday at roughly 8pm) and said he wasn't coming back and I told him just to stay away for a week. She tried to call him on Monday and he wouldn't take her calls. She checked there joint account and he had taken out almost $500.00. She goes into instant panic mode. She spent the better part of Monday and Tuesday buying things like diapers, wipes, food and anything she needed for George on Kramer's credit card. By Wednesday she had tried to contact him several times and she still hadn't heard from him. She decided that she would go back home to New York even though she didn't have a good place to go. She started packing up and called to tell Kramer and ordered things she would need for George there. By Friday she is a basket case and distraught that the man she loves would just cut her and their son totally out of his life that easily. She decides Saturday that she isn't going back to NY she will find a place here. It will be less expensive and she doesn't think it is fair to take George that far away from Kramer. So Sunday (Father's Day) she spends the day trying to figure things out. Then at 8pm guess who comes walking in the door. You got it Kramer. He thought that since she told him to stay out for a week he would do exactly that. He wasn't checking the messages on his cellphone and if he heard her voice on his work phone he deleted it. He had no idea of the drama that he had caused! She was livid to say the least. Since then they have agreed maybe they need to live seperately and she is going to move into a house that she found to rent. He will either remain beside me or sale or rent the house out. Who knows.
I am just glad that I don't have that kind of drama in my house. I am so glad that I have a husband that is in it to stay. We have our issues - trust me we have our issues - but we work through them and try to make our relationship stronger for them. We have a lot of time invested in each other though and I think that is part of the difference. We are coming up on our 11th Anniversary. It is this Friday so drink a toast to us!!! Before we were married we dated for about 6 years so we have been together for about half our lives WOW!!! Maybe tomorrow I will give you my take on marriage and the good and bad of it. There is definitely more good though or we wouldn't have been in it for so long!
